Sound

This activator was a useful tool in educating me on sound editing and files by teaching me optimal decibel levels, how to adjust sound levels, and things that can not be fixed. First, i learned the optimal sound level is -16 db this sound level helps hear at the most optimal level out of all others. Secondly, I learned how to fix audio and sound levels by increasing or decreasing decibels. finally, i learned not all things can be fixed as when some one stumbles or if the audio level was just to low to start it will have to be redone to keep it smooth and coherent. In conclusion, this lesson was very helpful in developing and improving my sound editing skills.

Critique reflection blog

Some of the comments I got on my film was on the camera angles and the layering. The jail scene I shot took some attention and I felt proud of it and it was the shot that took the most attention to detail and setup with the camera. I feel I did best with the camera and framing it as well as some of the back ground actions such as the scene with the paper blowing they . having trouble doing that part but I found away to make it flutter right. another example of me setting up the scene was when we were throwing the money i set up the lighting and i tested the shot to position everyone correctly so they weren't in frame but still could throw the money as far as needed. My classmates saw the jail scene shot and pointed that out so i feel when it comes to set up and camera I'm doing well.

I feel I need to improve on my editing and possibly some of how I'm cutting because I end up cutting a lot but it doesn't come out bad but the story is a little harder to fallow then intended. This is a problem because it can also look like a complete different story even though my group and I are given the same shots. This can lead to confusion and other things my group members also noticed this and feel I should improve on it though its good and shows creativity the point and or story is not brought across clearly.

My weakness is my editing skills and how I understand the story but my strengths lie in my ability to set up a scene and my camera work. So during future projects I will try to work more setting up the scene to make the shot look better as well as continuity and lighting. I could improve on my editing skills by going over and taking more time piecing together everything i could also work on trying to stay on story and not take it off aa completely different direction. On improving my strengths i could try and remember were my props are as well as have back up planes for when something is misplaced.
